Where did everybody go?

I pop in here from time to time, and slowly this place is becoming a ghost town. The question I have, is, where is everybody?

It has its high points and low points.. not the same without Charles.. but we should try to live up to the standards he set.

Gosh--I didn't hear about this. Did something happen to Charlie?

Charlie passed back in November. Search for a thread titled "Charlie has gone home".

A sad time for all of us.

Yeah,

We were all taken back by his passing....Was a sad day for all of us...He helped so many of us here on Wholenote. He certainly had a wealth of knowledge, in which he always shared, and he was a really nice person.

Unfortunately, it was almost a week until I had heard about it, myself. So, needless to say, I was shocked, as well.

Haven't logged here for a LONG time and just came across with this :-/

I loved Charlie, and I still do. One of the only wholenoters I got familiar with.

Maybe I should start logging in more often again.

I guess I'm a real "old-timer"- I still lurk on occasion, but I got tired of seeing and answering the same 17 questions, arguing about the same 6 topics and silly flame wars.

When I first joined, I felt I was helpful to beginners, and learned stuff from others. Not so much now, although there is some cool stuff that happens from time to time.

I gotta come here for the tuner, LOL, it is true though. Everyday I check. Still gigging alot, with my band and filling in and doing ebay so much takes away from my free time.

I downloaded this:

Create a shortcut and you get an icon right on your pc desktop for easy access. It was free so why not?

Be cool.

You still tune your own guitar? I invested in one of those new robotic tuning systems:

It works fine, although it gets a might agitated at the word "toaster" for some reason.

I hope to upgrade to one of those new "Number Six" models one day.

Yeah, this baby practically plays itself! Nobody gives you any trouble when you come on stage with one of these, either. (The built-in automatic weapons help a lot in that area!)
