It's the weekend for my blues/jam band

Too bad all y'all live at least a day-and-a-half's drive away. But I'll let you know anyway that my blues/jam band, Pelican Railroad, is playing tonight at the Hard Times Saloon in downtown Bemidji, just up the street from the lakefront statues of Paul and Babe.

There's a fourth band member not pictured who does keys, tenor sax, and lead guitar. What a sound!

Check my gig schedule on my ActiveBass home page if you think you might fancy a Northern road trip this year and would like some live music to entertain you!

What a great photo, Tracy! Looks like you're smokin' there. I hope folks closer than I am get over there to see ya. Enjoy the gig.

Drew just recently totally shaved off his beard, which makes him virtually unrecognizable as far as I'm concerned, but otherwise, there we are.

The guy who used to run sound/lights when this pic was taken had WAY too much fun with the fog machine, but it did add a nice touch to the photo shoot.

Great pic, Tracy!!!

Have fun and bring the house down.

If you camcord part of your weekend "hard" work, maybe you can post a clip. I'm sure some of us will enjoy seeing/hearing it.

Thanks for sharing.

We've tried recording some snippets of our playing, but it's a tough venue to get a good video because it's so dark and loud.

If we ever get a gig anywhere besides this place, maybe we could try again!

Wish I could have made it to the jam. Just wondering, what are the scanner lights y'all are using?

The lights belong to the club. I don't know what kind they are, other than they are really cool. The guy who ran sound/lights when this shot was taken a couple of years ago really knew how to get the most out of the fancy lighting. He has since moved on, the club still has the lights, but the fancy ones don't get used much.
