Hot Rod 212 vs 410 - Help!

Hello all. Thanks in advance for any assistance you might be able to lend me!

I am in the process of trying out Fender HotRod amps, trying to figure out which one is right for me. I previously owned a 112 HotRod and was very happy with it, but unfortunately had to sell it. Now I am considering the 212 and the 410. In a loud, crowded Guitar Center they both sound the same and I can hardly tell the difference. Can anybody shed some light on what the major differences between the two? Why 212, or 410?

I mostly play blues/rock and rotate between 2 Strats and an Artcore. The overdrive/more drive that the HotRod series offers is exactly the tone that I'm looking for, and the only addition will be a Vox wah.

Thanks again for any help you might be able to offer!

I haven't really played the 410 more than once or twice...love it.

But I've played the HR 210 quite a bit, and though it's very hard to explain, just liked the tone better. Is it perhaps more difused going through the 4x10's? I don't know....someone will soon give you a good technical answer. But the 212's seems to me to have more of an immediate "presence" about it.

Pretty hard to go wrong either way, I'd thing. I'm sure the more knowledgable answers will ask you what you're using it for, etc.

In any case, let us know how it goes with a good review when ya settle on something, if you would, Peter.

Nice Homepage,
Craig
