The infamous WN chat room:

I stuck my silly head in ONE time in the years I have been on here; just recently. My skinny Irish a-- is now stuck in there forever, apparently. Just be advised. No, I am not in there, nor am I on here, even to type this. Well, ok, I get ticked. I am on here. Forever, also.

Cheers! Craig

I guess that should have been a clue, Kevin. Like the silly blonde in the halloween movies that insists on checking the basement, in spite of the minor third bass background, I went on in there....

Hey I checked out Chets palying of Vincent yesterday. I had seen that yrs ago, but its sooo sweet, it almost brought tears to my eyes. That from your site recommendation. Is there a way to save that to my Windows stuff? Isn't that cool??? Thanks man.

You know Craig,
I looked at the chat room this morning ( yesterday afternoon your time) and there you were. It was against my better judgement, but I logged in to say hi. No answer though - I figured it was like the way you are always logged on here- a sort of divine omnipresence maybe;)
Andrew
PS that computer of yours is a real worry.

Divine omnipresence...yuk yuk. Good one.
If I ever achieve nirvana, I'll be sure to come back and just haunt you guys for no real reason.

Thanks Andy K...but I have a brand spanking new computer. Wish I had a guitar this new. Its gotta be these clowns.

(yeah, I know the clowns that originated the site are long gone...more power to them)

The only reason I logged in was because the doo wop said Craig Brisbane was in there....I bet he hadn't been in there for months, if ever..

Well, I am trying not to worry about it. By the way, I sure dug the Phil Longo pics....
Particularly the ones that he did in the Playboy mansion with the models and Les Pauls!!

we oughta do all that again sometime!

Hi Rob...I think they are gone, for all practical purposes. This thing, and Active bass as well, are truly on autopilot. Pretty amazing really.

Did you read their thesis that was the basis for these two sites? More amazing yet. I will send it to you if ya don't have it.

It was a purely sociological study, about self-maintenance sites and the level of participation in each. Also about the ability of members to engage in self-censorship, which as anyone can see, has worked very well.

The most interesting aspect of the thesis to me, by the etonal guys, was their measuring level of participation between this site and AB, by making lessons harder, (intentionally) to post here, vs. easier there, and the fact that the result was vastly in favor of the more user-friendly AB format. resulting in much larger and more friendly participation. Quite an eye-opener.

None of this is to say that these guys don't very infrequently stop by, to look in on their creation, like a demented God checking on earth once in a while, hehe.

Maybe that's the answer to the issue in your 'My Name Has Been Stuck on Here for Weeks.' thread.

(By the way, I just looked, and it says you are signed in now - are you really here?
