"Before They Were WholeNoters"

Remember back to the days when you were just a QuarterNoter? Maybe almost a HalfNoter? But nowheres near the WholeNoter you are now?

Some of us have our pics on our homepages, but many do not. Have you ever wondered what your fellow WholeNoter looked like? Have you ever taken that a step further and wondered what they looked like as a QuarterNoter?

Well, one of your brother WholeNoters did and between the two of us, we've come up with what we think will be a bit of good-natured fun and funning.

I've been collecting pictures of folks as kids, with or without guitar, and will be posting them here. With no hints or clues, the rest of ya'll will try to guess who the Noter is. When there's been a correct identification, another pic will be posted.

I know several of you are already working to get your pics from Mom, but if anybody I didn't contact directly wants to be included, please PM me.

So, let's get this started with the first pic I received.

Who's This?

A cute little girl, circa 1952? Maybe she's laughin' 'cuz she just pooped her diaper and nobody knows it yet but her. Hard to tell from a photograph--pictures can lie. Carla

No Obee, I was a fat baby at this age. Back then healthy babies were fat babies and I was. I grew out of that though. I probably pooped my diaper a time or two though.

I got to thinkin', Obee, maybe it was Howard Koziel (sp?) in drag as a baby the era would have been wrong. Look at the photo--it was touched up with colorization but started with a B&W photo. they used to do that with some professional photograpy jobs.

I think it's a mystery girl. Wrong era for Jodie Foster. I don't think it's Madonna. Maybe it's Cindi Lauper but I don't see she has her ears peirced. I wonder what that little girl grew up to look like and be like. She was probably spoiled rotten and they let her poop her diapers whenever she wanted to and she was loved anyway or they said "how cute...she pooped her diapers again." Ramble, ramble, ramble.
Oh...maybe it was Hitler in drag. Remember I got off on a tangent about Adolph Hitler? Looks like she had blond hair and blue eyes--the ideal race. Funny how Hitler had dark hair. Probably why he put a bullet to his head. Maybe they didn't have hair bleach back in the 40s.
Now I'll stop!!!!!!!!!! Carla

Hhmmmm? Longish, curly hair... but blue pants. Could be a boy, but as mentioned, looks like the type photo from the mid , late '50s.

Most parents kept their boys hair short back then, so I'm thinking , girl.....hmmm.

Could be all wrong, though. Parents could have been those "Beatnick," types. Let their kids hair grow naturally.

Then, maybe, it could be.......

PHIL LONGO!!!

Andy S.

( Oh yeh, Deb, was that a shot, or an enema? Not that I'd want either, but I think I would clench my cheeks a bit differently for one or the other)

I've seen photos that resemble that coloring into the early/mid sixties so it could be a hippy kid as opposed to a beatnick kid.
