Tonight's our "Fan Appreciation Night" as a sort of grand opening of my country band under its new name (click on image for the link):
This project has come along very nicely. We've put in an advertising campaign with radio spots and print ads, as well as the usual posters, and we anticipate a good crowd tonight.
The website was done by our drummer's wife, using the professional photo shoot pix we had done some while back. Website design is her day job :), and I think ours is a great example to showcase her skills there.
Now we have all the things we need to send out (what we hope will be) an eye- and ear-catching promo package to the area casinos (i.e., three-state region) and the like.
Won't make any money on the gig tonight with all the advertising costs, but I think it will be worth it for the exposure and attention and getting the new band name out.
Nothing groundbreaking on the demo tracks except to show that we're a really solid cover band.
I know it's too late for any of all y'all to make it to the gig, even if you left now, but just needed to share. :)
