Activebass vs. Wholenote

Activebass vs. Wholenote

Active bass is quite different in many aspects from wholenote.

The different designs, bass paraphanalia ads ect...

But the conspicuous aspect is the member's behaviors. On wholenote, there are less members and are less frequency of lessons being made. In addition, there is less action in the fretbuzz. For instance, I was on activebass and noticed that in only 5-6 hours, there were 20 new messages while on wholenote there were only 4 to 5.

But the concept that befuddles me is that; in a given population of musicians, there are less guitarists than bassists. This is true.

But activebass seems to "contradict" that. They have more members, more action and more lessons being made than wholenote.

What do you deem that thought?

I think maybe you mean the reverse of this (that "there are less guitarists than bassists") - otherwise I am befuddled (well, more befuddled).

lol!
I think that bassists have a lot of time to chit-chat, while we guitarists sweat it out... just kidding ;-)

Sorry,
I meant that there are more guitarists than bassists in a given population of musicians.

1) WHOLENOTE does not need to equal FRETBUZZ.
2) The volume of participation has gone up and down many times over the course of the 5 years I've spent here.
3) Friendships made on Wholenoote often spill over into real life where conversations occur without the need to use Fretbuzz.

That's because you were posting messages on ActiveBass instead of WholeNote ... ;-)

Your statistics are absolutely meaningless - the # of messages posted in a day on WholeNote can vary between hundreds and a handful ...

Hey Adrian,
I'm a member of AB, just seldom visit the site. But I've noticed that their posts are sometimes more like a conversation than ours are here at WN. The comaraderie here is pretty good, though, in my opinion, and I've made a few friends here which is one of the things that I was aiming to do from the start. Now and then we get off on a pretty good roll with a thread. Do you remember the "seal clubbing" post that (ex-member, I guess) Mike Smith made? Check out page 3 of that particular thread. I saved it on my harddrive. Wish we could get more of that stuff going sometimes.
Later, Edd

This is a totally relevant post. If you think that I should take this post to another cyberspace location, then I disagree. The reason is because these posts can answer question that people have; a person also includes me.

The point of this post is to recognize and investigate the differences between these two sites and the factors that help cause these differences.

Personally, I think YOU are trying to start a riot!!!!

I think you overestimate the befuddling powers of these concepts, or you are easily befuddled. They have "bass paraphernalia ads, etc.", there's one that's got me scratching my head.

Personally, I don't care to recognize, nor investigate any differences, nor the factors that help cause anything.

The only question I want to have answered is: Do you realize that the blatant abuse of that thesaurus only makes you appear a bit pedantic? Lol.
