hey guys,

need some advice on glues. a friend of mine asked me the toher day to 'take a look at my bass, see if you can fix it for me' i said sure thing... he revealed a Yamaha bass, smashed into 3 pieces!!!

The neck has somehow escaped still in perfect condition, the body is split clean in 2, the split goes directly down the middle, from the lower pitched side of the neck join to the right hand side strap pin. I do believe this can be fixed back into good condition aslong as i can find a powerful enough glue to re-build the body.

Any ideas?

Hey Joe, TiteBond is the best I have ever seen. I've used it one everything from pine to mohogany. The wood will break before the glue seem breaks, I kid you not. TiteBond, you be able to check retailers in your area, the TiteBondIII is the best stuff.

Good luck, man!

I agree about the titebond. There's nothing wrong with elmer's either. You're gonna need a few decent sized clamps.

Titebond is a good choice. And you can get it in a dark color in the event the wood is stained/finished a darker color instead of being painted.
