Hi All

I've been listening to a fair bit of hendrix the last few weeks . He had such a great , diverse range of guitar tones .
What are some of your favourites ?

I have to say his lead tone of manic depression is probably my favourite

He had so many tones. The Bb7-A7 intro to Red House with the Uni-vibe and echo was one of the really cool ones to me. Stops me in my tracks every time.

Yeah! When you get into his studio produced stuff like Gypsy Eyes or House Burning Down you hear so many cool uses of effects in the layered guitar tracks. Isabella too. He really made use of the technology back then, such that it was.

Yeah, Little Wing, Bold as Love. Rainy Day Dream Away is just awesome wah, that might be my favorite. Also, Burning of the Midnight Lamp is really awesome too. Just about anything from Hendrix I can really get into.

Anyone ever heard of "Jimi in the West?" He does this version of electric church red house which I consider to be some of his best improv. His tone is also disgustingly amazing.

Let me know if you've heard that track...there's like a 3 minute intro before he talks about the red house over yonder..lol.
