jazz lead guitar assistance

When I'm playing a song like "Autumn Leaves" which begins with Am7 D7 GM7 CM7, this is in the key of G and I play notes off the Gmaj.,scale, I do change at the bridge to a Dminor pentatonic as that's what sounds right to me. As I am a beginner in playing jazz lead guitar I'd like to hear some different views on what scales/modes are played by others or how they would approach improvising over this song??

Just had a crazy idea, but I'll ask anyway. Could our fellow WNs with jazz improvisation skils give examples on how you construct a solo around the changes of Autumn Leaves by making a tab of it?
It would be very interesting to see what comes out of the several approaches here in action.

If somebody takes this challenge, it also would be interesting to go from easy to complicated solos step by step, adding more elements.

This would be a variant of the "add a track" posts.

Alternatively, a lesson about soloing over "Autumn Leaves" (or other jazz standards) would be interesting for a lot of people here.

Dude,
Part of my Tudors in Jazz training as a Electric Bass player involves Johnny Mercer and Autumn Leaves.
Carol Kaye sent me the score she uses when holding down the bottom line. She sent it to me as a advanced lesson a few years back to improve my improv. My copy still has the corrections made in pencil.
If you want honesty after 25 years of bass I have a hard time touching this. these cats are in a league I wish I understood.
These cats are not gonna hand it to you on a silver platter. If you really want to impress them it is all about practice, practice, practice.
