I think I'm starting to get the hang of this recording thing. This take was still done at relatively low volume, but I think it came out sounding much more "cranked".

That was some monster playing, Brian! The recording had a "live" sound to it, like you were mic'ing the room instead of the amp. Kinda cool, actually. ;)

That reverb was put on after I recorded. It seemed to put my guitar more "in" the mix. On acouple other AAT's I've tried, my guitar sounded stuck "on top" of the track, like it wasn't blending in. I allways play pretty dry, but I stuck my software's reverb on my track and it seemed to make it sound more together (also smoothed it out abit). I also compressed the final track after recording, which seemed to blend it more.
I was surprised with the final sound. That's played through a Peavey 1X12 at talking volume, being mic'd with my cheap "came with the computer" microphone. Seemed to work. I wish I could have the same luck trying to record clean tones.

Go ahead, Elz! Nice job man. I listened through once, and when I went back for a second go, it told me website was not responding? I wanted to find the mark earkly in the track, it sounded like you were trying to coax a bit of feedback out of her! I was sitting here giving it some body english, it was right on the edge! Heh heh...

Yep, you got an ear for it. I was even sticking my guitar right in the amp's face, but I think it just wasn't turned up loud enough to feedback. Can't blame a guy for trying, though!
