Melodic: add-a-track

So melodic it might be a challenge to just "take it easy" on this one, but I do know a few guys here that could probably rip something over this track.

Although is is meant to be:

Melodic Rock

Have Fun!

Bruce,
I really love this track! Here's my take. (Sorry about the clipping.) LP Special -> Arion Digital Delay -> Pignose G60VR.
Hope you like it.

Now that has a theme to it, and tells a story doesn't it? Creativity is no stranger to you. Nice work Norm, appreciate the contribution, as it helps "me" anyway, to become a more adept player.

Great job, Norm. Love that Les Tone, it fits very well with your style.

The delay adds a nice bit of thickness, too!

Always a pleasure, man......

Nice mellow jam. I must say it's difficult recording at home! Dogs barking, movies playing, dinner's ready... All sorts of interuptions to take you out of your game! LOL

Nice track Bruce!

It's hard to work on recording at home with so much going on! LOL But, family comes first, then pets, and so on... ;)

Hope you all had a great New Year!

I hear brillince in most of the things that get thrown up in the AAT's. From everyone, and you are absolutely no exception.

Have to say this has been one of the best AAT threads to listen through. Everybody has done one helluva job, here.

Thanks Bob,

I think that the track's wide open spaces lends itself well to lots of different interpretations. We are certainly hearing a lot of different approaches which is really great.

Fun to play to and equally fun to listen to! :)

Bruce made the comment that the AAT's are, or have been a lasting part of the community. It's been a lot of fun. I am working on his Web-Ballad at the moment. These mellodic tracks are hard for me, but all of you guys have been a bit inspiration, and I find myself playing electrically outside of what I am used to.

I am getting frustrated because I found a nice little groove in it, but am having trouble completing it, because it's not the fretboard rambling that I am accustomed to. I actually love it, it makes me think a bit.

Again, nice job, Heids. Gotta love it...

Be cool,

I'm not all that familiar with Mike and the Mechanics, but my bass player is a BMW mechanic... And we practice in his shop... Probably doesn't mean anything... LOL ;)

Thanks for the kind words Joshua! I tried to keep it melodic and bluesy at the same time.

I did find out a little more from Martin support but not much more than I knew already. They told me its a 1-21 anywhere from 1867 to 1898 in age. A luthier I corresponded with out of New York was intersted in the back stripping saying it did not seem to be typical of those guitars and a few other things that stood out for him.

There is a guy out of Palo Alto that was recomended by the New York guy, so I may have to take it down there and see what can be done. They really have to have the instrument in there hands to really examine it properly. Photos just are not enough to go on... That's about it so far!

Thanks again for the nice comments.
