Radio signal coming through PC speakers

Hello,

I've been having a rather annoying problem with my pc at work: I get a radio signal coming through the speakers. I was hoping perhaps someone here might know how to solve this, cause it's driving me nuts. At least if it was decent radio station...

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

get new speakers...... whats hapening, is the electronics are acting like an antenna. probably due to poor shielding, or some other fault.

yeah, i get that too...it's a pain. These speakers just catch every little signal. They're like a SETI device... ET's speaking through my speakers.

Several years ago, I bought a DOD Digital Delay pedal, an in the box was a little piece of paper that had a warning written on it.

Something to the effect that when set at certain frequencies, and the right level of something traveling through it, that it may pick up AM band radio frequencies.

Of course I didn't believe it at first. Then one evening I was playing around and picked up a channel that had a heavy religious debate going on. Something about two guys arguing over whether or not the existance of the sun predated the existance of God...

Weird.

Hey Nicolas,
Either try changing the cable that attaches the speakers to the computer or just try a different set of speakers. As was already stated, something there is acting like an anttenna.

I actually have this problem with my 73's Fender Bandmaster head amp and an old coil'ed guitar cable I used to use (only happens with that one cable)...picks up a local AM radio station.

Try a different cable first, and if that don't work, get better speakers :-)

Good Luck,
