its actually spelled buzz feiten. he makes a way of intonating your guitar. Its done by licensed guitar techs. my guitar is set up with it, some new guitars come with it. you usally need a special or very fine tuner to use it properly. he has a web site, which if you search on the name in a search engine you should be able to find to read more.

I played with Buzzy Featon back in 1969 with The Martha Velez Band. That band, though short lived, had some great players in it. David Sanborn on Sax and Freedy Beckmire on bass. I beleive that Buzzy also played with The Paul Butterfield Band before that.

Buzz was somewhat overlooked, musically. Martha was good too. Her stuff is semi - collectible... and a lot of us remember Sanborn from Letterman. There's some talent in that line-up!

He's also done a bunch of studio work, most notably all the early Riki Lee Jones albums. (OK, those are the only ones I've heard him on, but I'm sure there's more)

Buzzy was a studio guitar player, he did the awesome solo on Steely Dan's "Rikki don't lose that number." Admired by greats like Larry Carlton.

Hi Jimmy,

Besides being known for his techno-geek side, for creating the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, he has also played with the following people:

The Brecker Brothers, Bruce Willis, Gregg Allman, James Taylor, Wilson Pickett, Chaka Khan, Olivia Newton-John, Rickie Lee Jones, Stevie Wonder, Bette Midler, David Sanborn, Dave Weckl, Kenny Loggins, Felix Cavaliere, Stu Hamm, Boz Scaggs, Mr. Mister....and a slew of others.
