What was your "First" Guitar?

Hi Folks,
Further to Chris Sung's "What are you playing now" posting, I'm interested in knowing what your first guitar was and when you got it.

Mine was a Particle board/plywood "Raven" Les Paul copy that my mom bought me at a hardware store in '75 or '76 for 80 or 90 bucks. Yes, it was a piece of crap but it looked cool and it allowed me to pretend to be Ace Frehley for a while!
Later,
Eric

I started with an old Danelectro acustic-electric.
it had the laminated serface with the single bar type pickup across the tone hole. bought it used with an old tube amp that died after loaning it to a bass player. gave the guitar to an old girl friend. was a dumb move. found out after it was worth a lot of money."Kids!!"
