Same thing happened to me. I was on early around 4 pm Tuesday evening and the server (wholenotes)wasn't responding very well at all. Later around 7-8pm there was no response at all simply an error message saying that traffic was too heavy to access the site? Floods, software or server issue? Beats me.

They may have been cleaning/resetting the server. Most websites chose to do this on a 3-5 am schedule EST but WN seems to have a pretty wide variety of members from varying time zones so maybe they just do it when they think it's best?

I thought maybe I had ticked off one of the right-wing theologians (pun intended) as well. :D

Every now and then the server goes down for some reason. So far, it's always come back. :)

The only way to get a server that wont go down (at least occasionally)is to crosswire an Apple with a nun.

Yes well -- I'm trying to censor my own comments... not that I'm a 'foul mouthed low life' or anything but I can easily go from PG to an R rating every once in a while, and I am trying not to do that after reading the last fracus over a few silly and somewhat naughty comments someone made. And I also have to remember that dryness in humor doesnt really translate in text postings... no way to get that bob newhart face over the wire --

I am actually not as incoherant as my occasional post might indicate---

PS-- your limerick made me laugh btw!
