You know, that is absolutely great. I read a post recently about someone's posts not being responded to. So, here I am responding to my own, I guess, because no one else has yet. Just think of the political clout we could muster up if we wanted to.

Yes...we could pressure Guitar and Music Stores to quit ripping folks off, just because they dont know any better....they should be educating newbies not fleecing them!!

I don't know how many this applies to, but sometimes I will have been hanging out with my buds on WN and forget to close my IE. Since I have a persistant internet connection (DSL) it appears that I am here when in reality I'm sleeping/working/out (or all of the above ?!?!?!)

Last summer I forgot before the wife and I headed out to Joliet, Minnesota, and points beyond to see The Dead and BoB Dylan without logging off. We were gone for about 10 days. I bet a lot of folk would get the impression that I REALLY needed to get a life (if they noticed my comstant presence.)

I try to check in whenever I can at work, but sometimes I may not get a chance for long periods of time, depennding on what's going on with the equipment. It's either feast or famine.

But soon I may not have to worry and have MUCH more time to hang out here and play. The layoffs have already begun. Our drummer's wife was let go yesterday (27 years service as a nurse in the same system) A bunch of us have worked together for about 20+ years, and we are getting a little depressed just waiting for the axe to fall.

A few WN'ers have already gone through this sort of thing and you'll see a flurry of activity with the increased "freedom". Hehehe. At least I won't have any more excuses for contributing towards the Add-a-tracks then.

I would agree or they just come back know and then.

I guess I'm guilty as charged with coming and going. In my defense, I've dropped out of the "playing" field so to speak. Guess I lost the will to sit in an awkward position for hours at a time but i think the pilot light has been relit and I'm back. I guess this happens to everyone.
