If so, you like me have thought its about time he got back in the studio. Well he did, and his new CD title "Long Time Coming" is going to be in stores October 14. Here are a few full lenght cuts off his new CD.

Hi...yes I like Jonny....but I do have a bad habit of being stuck on his early stuff...I just saw him Thursday night at the Ryman...but I wanted to hear 'good morning little school girl' but I was out of luck....oh'well can't please everyone....but he put down some solid licks....I will say...that boy sure loves those Thin-Line Tele's.......so do I....but.. I think he has more money.....later Dawn :-)

Hi Dawn,

Did a group called Indigenous open for Jonny? He's coming to San Fransisco and they're opening for him.

I was just wondering if you think if it would be a worthwhile concert to attend.

Someone here at wholenote already told me of the next SRV hope Joe Benomassa sp? and I'll be seeing him later this month when he opens for Peter Frampton.

I've listened to both Jonny and Indigenous on MusicMatch.com Jukebox and they both sound awesome but it was only a couple of tracks.

If you could elaborate a bit more on the concert I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Ayden

Ayden, Joe Bonamassa is the real deal. While some do make comparisons to SRV (Joe was playing along with SRV records note-for-note at age 9), Joe is probably more accurately defined as a Blues Rocker with an orientation to the British-Blues style. Very power trio oriented, incredible artist. Check out his website at www.jbonamassa.com or his fan website at www.angelfire.com/blues2/bonamassa

Thanks Stu.

I'm really excited about the concert I'm going to. I don't actually know Peter Frampton's music too well so I'm probably just gonna stay for Joes opening unless he'll be doing some collaborative stuff w/ Peter.

I've been to his website and downloaded his free MP3's already, but after visiting your homepage I need to go back and check out his video.

Thanks,

Ayden

Idigenous is a cool band, sort of pop/blues/funk mix, though they change about every album. I think if you like Jonny Lang you can't go wrong.

Hey Ayden....well a guy opened up for Jonny..and his name was Mike Errico?..I had never heard of him.I sort of think it may have been a last minute thing, because I kept checking pollstar.com, to see who else was in nashville the night Jonny was, and nothing was there...then the day of the show I checked one more time and it was added...so...I really don't know what was going on....but I was not into this "Mike" guy...sort of Dave Matthews feel..and played this funky little drum kinda thing...and well...just not into it...lol...but Jonny was good...as I said I tend to like older stuff from him...and I read a thread on here that said he was into church now...and thats cool...so mabey he is moving away from his older stuff..and I don't recall hearing about this "JOE" guy...so I will have to check that out...and I would say if your really into Jonny...then go....but just to let you know he plays mostly new stuff....ok?...see'ya Dawn <<<:-)>>>

Thanks for the reply Dawn. I was hoping Indigenous opened for him as they will be touring in San Fransisco next month w/ Jonny.

Mato Nanji from Indigenous was in an article w/ Tommy Shannon discussing Texas Flood. Apparently this native american was fortunate enough to have Stevie mentor him on an occasion when Stevie came to his town.

I heard Indeginous on musicmatch and the guitar playing is pretty sweet, w/ a very strong influence on Stevies style and energy, but I'm not into the vocals but I figure the guitar playing is enough for me to check them out.

I'll let WN know how the Joe concert went after I see him.

Take care,

Ayden

I saw Jonny Lang last month at Westbury Music Fair and Indigeneous opened for him. Indigeneous was very good, really rocked, you could hear the SRV influence. Jonny Lang was great, a good mix of old and new material. I just bought the new CD today and played it at work. I really didn't get a chance to "listen" to it, I'll try and do that this weekend. Sounded kind of hit and miss. But live he was awesome.

Enjoy the show,
Rob

Thanks for the response on Indigenous Rob. I wondered how they were live.

I've listened to more of their tracks on musicmatch and the guitar playing is amazing to my ears. I just wish they could sing a little better. Their singing sounds very forced and not very appealing. If I go see them it would be purely for guitar licking inspiration. Should be finger licking good.

Thanks again,

Ayden
