the crates are pretty good i just bought one of
those. Mine is a gfx 212 two 12s and 120
watts, good sound lots of power!! i can't even
crank mine past 5 or i know for sure i will kill
the speakers got to get me a half stack add
on. the affects are pretty good the distortion is
awesome don't need a pedal! they are really
good for metal.

also crate makes a accoustic version that is
pretty good has lots of features to cut back
feeback a set up for ones that have electronics
in them and a bucnh of different reverbs.

Anything that says crate on it is s---, in my
opinion. If you want something small that
sounds good (of course it depends on your
style), look into a small tube amp. It'll be worth
the money and a good one can last a lifetime.
A small Fender tube or a Mesa Studio .22
(amazing versatility). please, go for the tube.
you won't regret it.

I've got a Crate GX-30M. It has a couple effects built in. The Chorus is ok, although I really don't use it all that much. It has an Overdrive that is great. I dont know what you like to play but I can get a near perfect AC/DC tone. It is also great for a few Zeppelin songs. Not that that is all that wild but boy it kills what I had before. This is the only Crate I have ever used but I like it quite a bit.
