Alexis Machine gig #1

Who are these losers?

Alexis Machine (aka 'L Xis Machine') is:

Brian Ashland - lead guitar and vocals
Mike Tucci - rhythm guitar
Joe Seifried - bass and backing vocals
Gary Regester - percussion

What establishment is actually going to let them perform in public and when is this catastrophe going to happen?

The Rusty Nail in Ardmore, PA - Wednesday, November 13, 2002 @ 11 PM - ages 21 and over only, sorry. This is only an audition gig - if we're lucky we'll get to play for 40 minutes. If we don't get beaten up we will play some more gigs.

What king of music do these creeps play, anyway?

Progressive (but not too progressive) metal in the same vein as Queensryche, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, etc. with some renaissance/medieval music thrown in for good measure. No covers, only originals.

Check out our temporary web site for more information

Great sound Gary. Vox have an uncanny Geoff Tate sound to them..(not a bad thing at all) Nice thick sounding mix (vocals)....is that a 5 string bass? When it goes down low it really rumbles and fills the mix...love that...please tell your bass player to do it more!!

Keep rockin

Thanks. Are you referring to the song excerpts on the web site or the gig? The clips on the web site are very rough - I just hung a couple of mics and fed them into my minidisc recorder. Plus we hadn't planned on recording and weren't really paying attention - you know what band practices can be like. We'll do some real recording soon when we get our studio finished. If you're in the area come check out a gig. Joe uses 6-string basses, some custom shop - I forget which - plus Bartolini pick-ups. On the sound clips he's only playing through a tiny practice amp. Same with Brian (lead guitar). Live is a different story. Brian's rig was built by Bob Bradshaw (Steve Vai, etc.) - absolutely insane (Eventides and all that). His vocals are very Tate-ish, one of the reasons we are looking for a singer. Anyway, thanks for checking us out.
