Your post would be pretty funny, except for the fact that only a small minority of people seem to have much appreciation for Fripp.

Robert Fripp! I know his name, just haven't listened to him :D. It really annoys me that the latest issue of GuitarOne has a section called "The Riffs Of Creed" though :mad:

Robert Fripp is the guitarist for King Crimson. He has also played many times with David Bowie and Brian Eno, as well as other assorted artists like the Talking Heads, Blondie, Peter Gabriel, and David Sylvian.

Now the dude from Creed is a god...

Mr. Harris I agree.But as for other posts here "now that dude from creed is a god"ha ha ha ha ha lol And if I may expand if thats what he calls his idea of guitar playing;let me say I'll take my zeppilen straight from zeppelin I don't need it regurgitated by that Guy from creed.I'll get my Page riffs from Page it looses something in the translation.

I will grant that his compositional philosophy may not be to your liking, but as a guitar operator he has few peers. One need only listen to the beginning of Lark's Tongue In Aspic, part III from the King Crimson album, Three Of A Perfect Pair to realize that.

Comparing Fripp to Tremonti is like comparing a Cartoonist to Da Vinci, GEEZ. Personally I like Fripp, Ive heard some of his stuff from KC on "Larks Tongues" "Red" and "21st Century Schizoid Man" but, to each his own right?

Since few know of Robert Fripp, and those who do understand his approach, and those are few too. I would have to say Fripp is probably one of the most underrated guitarist. His style does not suit most, but his playing can be matched by very few at there.

I haven't heard of Robert Fripp (no surprise there, I'm fairly sheltered), but if he has played with Tony Levin, then I understand completely.
