Who's the captain?

Just stopped up for once to listen to the lyrics of Hotel California. I always thought that it was a sweet song about someone driving in the desert.

As I heard the lyrics I thought it was complete rubbish at first. But then it stroke me that he was singing about drugs. "...stab it with their steely knives..." and so on.

I figured that the twisted girl must be the dealer, but I still wonder...

That all started because Frank included a song on his 'Hot Rats' album titled 'Son of Mr. Green Genes(sic)'.

'Son of Mr. Green Genes' was simply an instrumental reworking of the main melody from a tune off the MOI's 'Uncle Meat' album titled 'Mr. Green Genes'... which was an ode to vegetables rather than the Character from tv.

I've also heard Ted mentioned as the perpetrator of the rumored "defecation consumption" act that is all too often attributed to Zappa.

But it's an idea, and may prove interesting to check out the family tree !!
