Guide to Lesson Authoring

Here are some of the quick basics for how lessons are created at WholeNote. Advanced users may want to skip to our quick start instructions for making lessons

Any registered member can create and publish a lesson (registration is free)
You can simply point and click to create musical lesson examples
Your lesson examples automatically have tablature and customizable music playback

To Create The Music

Composer - Use our Composer on-line guitar sequencer to create guitar parts, complete with tablature and music playback
Groove Builder - Use our Groove Builder to create on-line music arrangements with guitar, bass, and drums, complete with chord charts and music playback

To Create a Lesson

Create the lesson header - Choose a title, style, and skill level for your new lesson
Create the lesson pages - Choose a sequence or groove (or both) to illustrate your points on any given lesson page
Preview your lesson - Check out how it will look as a finished lesson and revise as needed
Publish your lesson - Once you publish it, all site members and visitors can instantly learn from it & provide immediate feedback

Features & Benefits

Tablature, Chord Charts, and Music Playback - Your musical examples can appear as any combination of tablature and chord charts, with musical playback
Text/HTML Descriptions - You can include text descriptions, HTML, YouTube videos, or whatever you like to explain your music examples
Lesson List - All your lessons are managed for you in a maintained listing for easy access
Published or Private - Decide whether you want to publish your lessons to the lesson directory, or keep them private for your own studies.
