Independent Fingers

Welcome to my lesson on finger independence. Throughout this lesson I will show you ways to develop strength, independence, and muscle memory in your fingers. We will look at different excersises that I personally use to give my fingers a workout. A lot of these excersises are from melodies I have come across during my musical studies.

If you want to play lead guitar resonably well this topic is essential. Finger independence will allow you to play more broadly. You can experiment with different intervals and therefore get a wider range of melodies.

This is an excersize driven lesson but I have done my best to make them musical. One thing you should do however is USE A METRONOME FOR ALL OF THE EXCERSIZES AND START OFF SLOWLY AND BUILD UP YOUR SPEED.
