The Chromatic Scale

F Chromatic Scale

Place your first finger on the first fret, 6th string. Pick the string. Then slide your first finger to the second fret. Now, let all four fingers lay across the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th frets. Apply this idea as you play the scale.

The notes you are playing are F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, etcetera... going up a half-step on each note.

Alternate picking.

When you get this down, try going backward if you'd like.
