Here's a cool A add 13 chord/inversion which fits in well over certain dominant 7's. eg Try it to finish off a Blues progression in A7 - sounds great.

The numbers in the diagram are suggestions for fingering eg A1 means play the note A with the first finger. The 5th + 11th are left out in this voicing which is a common trick to save fingers, among other reasons.

  • Full name: A Dominant 13 - no 5
  • Chord Tones: 1 3 b7 9 13 (Dominant 13 chords like this are often played with the 11th left out - this particular one also leaves out the 5th)
  • Notes: A C# G B F#
