Welcome to C-A-G-E-D!

This lesson will focus on the C-A-G-E-D system. This system is useful for visualizing the fretboard with better accuracy, and finding useful chord shapes on the fly. In fact, the more familiar you become with this system, the more benefits you will discover in every aspect of your playing.

For information on improvisation check out my Chord Shape Improvisation lesson, although it would be a good idea to acquaint yourself with the topics in this lesson first. If there is something that is not covered in these lessons that you want help with, go to the lessons page and do a search. If you still have no luck, post a message in Fretbuzz. The seasoned members here at Wholenote relish the opportunity to "talk shop," and you will get a variety of opinions and suggestions. Now on to my lesson on the CAGED system.
