This tune is dedicated to Cathy Sanchez and its title is a take-off on her name. Just as Cats and Chess do not get along, so did she and I suffer that fate years ago.

I took the chords from the first piece in the famous John Mehegan Jazz Piano Series Volume 1 book. Those chords were for a simple reharmonized progression in C Major. I extrapolated those chords into C Minor and came up with this sequence of chords. I then wrote a silly melody over these changes.
