On the 6th string, count up from E. Open (E), 1st Fret (F), 2nd Fret (F#), 3rd Fret (G), 4th Fret (G#), 5th Fret (A)...and so on.

At first, count up from E to find which note you are playing on the 6th string.

Next, let the dots guide you. For instance--on the 6th string--I know the first dot is G, the second is A, the third is B.
