This is the two-handed tapping technique that Eddie Van Halen revoulutionized. He used tapping in Eruption. This is a very small riff that sounds like and EVH lick. To play it you "tap" (basically a hammer down with your other hand) the twelth fret with the index finger of your strumming hand. Then you pull off on the 7th fret and then the 3rd fret. Then hammer-down on the 3rd fret, then back to the 7th fret. Repeat this twice then do the same thing only move you fingers up two frets, so you pull of on the 9th and the 5th. Then repeat this twice. Keep working on this lick and on the two-handed tapping technique, and make up some tapping licks of your own.
