Blues Scale

This is the basic blues scale:

This scale is good for beginners to practice alot. Once you get good and you know the notes in this scale you can play blues leads. You can play this scale forwards and backwords and it works good both ways for practicing. You can also play this scale in other keys, I just showed it to you in G because I think its a good place to start out playing it. Personally I like to practice this scale with hammer-downs and pull-offs, or playing to the beat of a metronome, or both if your good. I suggest 100 tempo for beginners. Well if you practice this scale good, and know it note for note, it really becomes fun to play around with, and play cool riffs with it.
