This is Matteo Carcassi's Prelude in G, a short and simple piece that is very beautiful. Carcassi is a great composer of classical music and many of his preludes, studies, and caprices, are being studied by students around the world. Some of the best classical guitar excersizes are courtesy of Carcassi.

This particular piece is a good fingerpicking right hand excercise and should, as with all classical pieces, be played with a metronome. The piece below is transcribed below in its entirety but on the next two pages will be broken down for ease of use.
