Lessons: Lesson #8232: Paganini's 24th Caprice |

This is a "shred" version of a part of Paganini's 24th Caprice. This is one of the first neo-classical pieces that I learned and still play very often. This version is slighty different than the original piece I had learned because I arranged this for an overdriven electric guitar with plenty of gain. The distortion I use is quite heavy and in my opinion this piece sounds rather nice when played that way. When I first start practicing a new piece I usually lay off the distortion and play it clean and at a relatively slow tempo (for this piece start at 120), I suggest you do the same. After you feel comfortable with the piece speed it up and crank up the dirt! |
