Harmonized Harmonic Minor Scale

Pages: 1 2 3

Hi all! My previous lesson on the harmonic minor scale included scales, modes, and theory of the scale. This lesson is just an extension of that lesson. We know, again, from the previous lesson, how the harmonic minor scale is constructed. W-H-W-W H-W1/2-H. When harmonized with seventh chords. The results are: min+7---m7b5---maj7+5---min7----dom7---maj7---dim7. Now lets take this knowledge to the fretboard. Our example shows a harmonized harmonic minor scale in the key of Fminor. The string group on this page is, from a previous lesson, the (6-4-3-2) string group. Fmin+7---Gm7b5---Abmaj+5---Bbmin7---C7---Dbmaj7--Edim7. Check it out!
