© 2004This arrangement is an adaptation of the original music written by George M. Smith.
A Flemenco Guitar solo adapted for playing pick style.
The original music was in three different meters. 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4.
The tempos were "Brightly" .. Fast.
"Andante Rubato" .. Andante means walking speed. Rubato .. at will ... fluctuating or accelerating speed. Marked .. poco accel .. increasing speed.
Rit ... meaning slow down .. retard
Cadenza ... a series of notes moving along in this piece rather quickly... like a solo within a piece of music.
The composer does not lend itself to (a) meter changes in tempo (b) certain places the notes are held .. fermattas.
To compensate for these problems some notes are held longer. Meters are combined with measure extensions.
Some rhythmic combinations of 5 on a beat are not available with the composer so an adjustment in timing of the notes was made through extendsions of the time of the last note in a group of 5 on a beat.
Some sections were split to accomodate the changes of tempo in a piece of music.
In a piece of this length shorter sections were used rather than produce the tab and then have the sound absent because of exceeding the capabilities of the composer.
The music was created in 1945 - 1946.
