Speed picking and palm muting is a rarity in the upperground metal (i.e. nu-metal) This lesson is to help you understand the concept of speed and it's true power in metal. Remember to start this out extreamly slow. And work your way up this a basic/beginner exercise with a riff that I made. Now how to speed pick: turn your pick just a tad little bit so that when you pick the string it'll glade over it making you, able to play fast.

Update: Now, That you've been shown the easy way for constant rythm build up for speed while palm muting. Now rest you arm amongst the body of the guitar, and hold your pick straight while palm muting and add alittle force with your hand (but relax while doing so)You can now pick alot cleaner. Experment with new riffs you've made up with and see which form of picking suits you!
