This copyright covers only the lesson and not the tune. Generally chord progressions are not copyrightable.

The sound is turned off

The viewer will need to know how this spiritual tune sounds. The only category suitable seems to be "Christian". Use it as you see fit.

I set the composer for 3/4 time. The composer was manipulated to show only 3 beats per measure. It was necessary to post one note in the composer to make it stay in 3 per measure.

Some of the measures of this tune have two chords. One for the first two beats and the other on the 3rd beat. I would seem that by setting two chords per measure, in the composer, the chords show up on the 1st and 3rd beats as in the music. There is no 4th beat.

The tune is 32 measures long. Tab divides the progressions in to two 16 measure sections. The last two measures of the tab is the first ending of the tune.

Thirty Two is the maximum number of measure the groove and composer allow.

The second ending is four measures long. Two measures longer than the first ending. Here is the second ending of the tune.

3/4 key of Bb

Bb/Eb|Bb//|Eb/Ebm|Bb//||

Diagrams for the chords used in this tune are found on page 4 and 5 of this lesson.

Several diagrams were given for several of the chords. It would be your choice which to use. Or learn both. If the name of a chord is repeated the diagram for that chord will not be reinserted. Just look back on page 4 or 5.

Page 6 will help the individual singer establish the starting pitch of the tune in their mind and ear.
