Making your guitar laugh

This is an awesome technique that adds a cool, cocky effect to your solos. I first witnessed this technique in use while listening to Steve Vai's song 'Fried Chicken' from his album "Elusive Light and Sound Vol.1" album and then on David Lee Roths song "Yankee Rose".

There are two things you need to know in order to perform this technique properly. The first being how to bend strings and second being this fretboard pattern:

You will also need a wahwah pedal for this trick. I know of no other way to perform this technique without one.
