Make Your Guitar Sound Like A Saxophone

This little trick requires a zoom 606 (might work with 505 or 707 - as I only have the 606 I can't say. If you have then try it.)

edit a patch to have these settings:
comp/limit : c3
wah: off
drive: Pv
EQ: 46
contour: 40
ZNR/amp: 9
mod/pitch : off
DLY/REV: h5
time: 1
pedal : volume

turn the volume on your guitar (actually on the guitar, not the amp) down to about 1 or 2 and play a note. It should have a nice airy tone, and if you play about with pickup settings (I use a centre single-coil with tone set to 5) you can get your guitar sounding very much like a saxophone.

Have fun with your new saxaguitar!

When I find out how to add sound files I will add a clip of this odd effect.
