This lesson will teach you the only string with only two basic notes of its own. Most have three, but the G string, which is third thinnest, only has two notes.

Note one is G

It is played on the open string.

It is found one line above the bottom.

The second note is A. It is played on the SECOND fret of the string.

It found on the space above the G line in musical notation.



Once you can play these notes comfortably, try playing this:
