The initial strumming section begins the gradual transformation of the E Min 7 into a G Major. The first chord is actually just another voicing of the E Min7, but with an added D on the second string. This begins the transition to the key of G. The C Maj7 continues and is modified slightly by adding that same note added to the E Min7 to change it into a C add9, reinforcing the ultimate change to a G Major. Please note that the strumming pattern listed is to show emphasis only, with many quicker strums included to fill out the sound.
