Hi, all the time ahave people ask me were to get a mixer so the can make music, Get turn tables to make beats, ect... A mixer mixes sounds, tables play music, If you want to make beats ect... you want sampling and sequencing equipment. If you want to DJ (play music, mix, scratch) Then you want turntables/crossfader ect... I think a good starter sampler would be the electribe rhythem production sapler by Korg. It is only about $400.00 and has a lot of features If you want somthing more you should seek better advise. However I like Akia equipment. If you want to DJ in this time and age I would go digital with two pioneer CDJs and a crossfader of your choice (lot-a-money) or a diskman if you want a cheapo set up. A good dj catalog would be Pro sound and stage lighting, they have more DJ stuff then any other catalog I have found. you can find a lot at active musician too. If anyone has anything to add or any corrections please let me know, I am just trying to help out,I am a DJ, but just to make money with my PA. system so if you are an extream pro in any of these areas tell me what to add/remove so we can help these people out. malevolencemusic@yahoo.com I will update this later
