Move 3: The Elmore James

Clapton starts out both solos in "Before You Accuse Me" and the solo in "Driftin'" in similar fashion to the example below, each with slight twists. But all of them utilize the Elmore James-style slide up the neck. Clapton seems to like to slide up to the 10th fret on the 1st string and 12th fret on the second string, then just fire out triplets three-to-a-beat.
