An original fingerstyle arpeggio study, inspired by the guitar tudes of Villa-Lobos. Audio
  • Example right-hand fingerings :-
    [ T=Thumb, 1=1st Finger, 2=2nd Finger, 3=3rd Finger, H=Hammer-on, P=Pull-off ]
    Bars 1-3 T 1 T 1 T 1 2 3 H P 2 1 T 1 T 1
    Bar 4 T H T 1 2 3 1 2 H P 2 1 T 3 T 2
    Bar 5 T 1 T 2 1 3 2 3 2 1 3 2 1 3 2 1
The hammer-ons and pull-offs may be picked, if you prefer.
  • Note Durations
All notes are notated as 16ths, played with a legato feel. The first notes of each Bar may be stretched in both duration (to delay the succeeding note) and sustain time, according to taste.
  • Tempo
The indicated tempo is a reasonable target, but see comments above.
The piece should at first be practiced at a very much slower tempo, gradually increasing as finger memory allows.
Should you experience pain in either hand, stop immediately and relax.
  • PowerTAB
You can download a PowerTAB version including standard music notation for yourself HERE.
