Here are several excellent dimished chord voicings. The coolest thing is that any note in the diminished chord can be considered the root (important part) again, any note in the diminished chord can be considered the root.

Note that because each inversion is actually four chords every three frets the chord repeats:
F#, C, A, Eb dim
G, C#, Bb, Edim
Ab, D, B, F dim
F#, C, A, E dim
