This is a modification of a pseudo-chromatic scale. A pseudo-chromatic scale is what I call playing four notes per string in a sequence; the reason I call it that is because it doesn't make a chromatic scale (there are notes missing), but it does contain many chromaticisms.

This particular exercise plays the notes of a pseudo-chromatic scale in reverse order, both ascending and descending. This is a good left-hand exercise, and works well for pick/fret coordination. Play it all the way up to 12th fret and then go back down. Start slowly and build up to as fast as you can do it.
