Here's a quick blues fingerpicking ditty that came out of the writing I did for my new ebook on guitar chords. If you're not used to fingerpicking, getting coordinated can be kind of tough, but the sounds you'll get are worth the effort.

There's not a lot of music here, but you can use this ditty as a seed to grow your own fingerpicking repertoire. You might grow this seed by playing blues in other places besides just open position. Or, take it into another key. Create a more complex, moving bass. The ideas are limitless, and playing fingerstyle blues provides immediate emotional rewards for any effort you put into it.

Get more fingerpicking blues ideas from WholeNote.com's great articles.

Have fun.
