Lesson 5

Their are many types of punk intros and outros. They are usually sudden and violent or melodic but have a violent/about to go psycho on you feel to it. If you have heard 'you' by bad religion and 'longview' by green day then you would understand how these intros are used. I can not stress it enough to listen to as much punk as possible. You need to open yourself up and listen to alot to get used to the style.

soloing

In another punk lesson, a person mentioned that if you want to solo well then study jazz. If you study punk soloing you won't find much. If you find any at all, it will sound a lot like a major scale. Studying jazz will open you up to many different styles of playing and you can play any music if you can play jazz. You could be the next big thing if you have the first punk band with real breackneck soloing. Most soloing is left to heavy metal and jazz.
