When you are learning to improvise, everyone talks about what scale to use, and which scale goes best with which scale in which situation...you may have seen charts and diagrams where it all looks very complicated.
The point of all of the charts and scales is to give you a clear indication of what notes work best with what chord. There is almost always one or two notes in the scale that just don't fit correctly.
I have found a better way to play, once you have an understanding of what notes go with what chords.
