Now for the first 8 bars of your standard blues progression. Some people choose to play A(7) for the first 4 bars. I like a D chord in bar 2 as sort of a preview of the big change to IV in the 5th bar. Only 4 more more bars after this (the turnaround) and you've got the BASIC BLUES!
